Our wooden venetians are manufactured from hand selected natural wood and also natural bamboo, made from the highest quality timber and bamboo to assist in adding a trendy looking finish to any home or office area.

Basswood is a natural wood ideal for areas of high heat.
Bamboo is one of the most eco-friendly materials used for venetian blinds. It is easy to grow and this alternative material relieves the strain on large hardwood forests and preserves more natural habitats. Bamboo is very suitable to both areas of high heat and moisture. By comparison to basswood, bamboo is slightly thinner and as such has less stacking when stacked to the top of a window or door (benefit) retain more view and high stacking to door areas are more beneficial to moving through a door area without knocking ones head.

Manufactured from the finest hard wearing, tight grained woods of superior strength, providing a warm, natural and stylish high quality finish. Woodens have natural insulating properties, keeping winters warm and summers cool.

Cape Window Blinds wooden blinds are crafted from top-grade options of Basswood and Bamboo, which are acknowledged as the finest available natural materials.

Each slat has a unique beauty, stained or colour-washed, options vary with various wood types, available in 25mm (limited colours) and 50mm slats.

For the perfect finishing touch, you can choose co-ordinating or contrasting woven ladder tapes or the standard string ladders for a more modern look.


  • Slatting:
    • Slats are made from 3mm thick Basswood or 2mm Bamboo.
    • Slats are pre-finished on a multiple pass production line and coated to maximise UV Stability and moisture resistance.
    • Slats can be supplied in any Plascon finish (at additional charge).
    Accessories & Options:
    • Available in ladder string or a variety of designer ladder tapes.
    • Can be motorised (Somfy brand and in-house brand available).
    • Hold down brackets are readily available.
    Hardware:
    • The tilt mechanism is a cord driven tilter that drives the tilt motion through a hexagonal steel tilt rod.
    • The cord-lock is a swing locking mechanism designed to hold the blind at any height.
    • The lift cords are braided polyester with a core. The ladder cords are made of polyester.
    Motorisation:
    • We are proud to offer this option in association with 'Somfy', a world-leader in such systems. Our in-house brand is 'Elettrico', is also available for the more price conscious.
    Child Safety:
    Please request for a clear acrylic cleat should you like to be able to remove any unwanted cord from hanging within the reach of minors. The blind cord can then be neatly wound around it out of harm’s way. CWB indemnifies itself and our suppliers from responsibility of child-proofing residential and business areas and this remains a customer/client responsibility to be aware of and to act accordingly to minimise and/or eliminate risk.
    Care Instructions:
    • Regular feather dusting for light cleaning and maintenance.
    • Wipe off hardware and components with mild detergent and a soft cloth where dust and grime has built up over time.
    Suitability:
    • Venetian blinds are versatile when it comes to controlling light and you can control the exact amount that suits you, you can block light completely by closing the slats, tilt for diffused lighting, raise the blind to leave the window clear or close for privacy.

    • Venetian blinds are perfect for home and office application and help to control heat, making them an energy efficient choice.
    • The versatility of Venetian blinds makes them suitable for any room in a house, but they are particularly effective in rooms such as kitchens. They can be fitted to a window of any size from small to large. They are not recommended for very large openings, such as French or patio doors and other glass doors. These openings should rather be fitted with vertical panel blinds.

WOODLOOK ALTERNATIVE:

Pvc woodlook is a synthetic base material, capturing the look and feel of wooden venetian blinds but has its own unique properties, complementing wood as an alternative.

This wood substitute is extremely well suited for use in areas not ideally recommended for natural wood. Keeping the same appearance as wood they are ideal for damp and moist areas such as bathrooms and areas of high salt content.

Suitable for areas of high humidity.
Having excellent insulation properties, creation-wood is very decorative and functional, and easy to maintain.

Available in standard colour finishes in 50mm Classic option only.
